Privacy Policy
ChoiceBound is an interactive-story app published by Polytude. This policy explains what information ChoiceBound handles, why it is used, and the controls available to you.
Information we handle
- Account information: an anonymous account identifier when you first use the app, and your email address or Google account identity if you create a permanent account. Password authentication is handled by Supabase; ChoiceBound does not store your password in plain text.
- Story and profile activity: reading progress, story and chapter opens, choices, routes, endings, puzzle results, saved stories, likes, follows, language, content controls, reading preferences, and recommendation feedback.
- Economy and purchases: Ticket and Diamond balances, entitlements, premium unlocks, rewarded-ad completion records, purchase history, and store transaction data needed to verify, deliver, restore, refund, and protect purchases.
- Device and service information: installation and session identifiers, platform, app version, interface language, region, time-zone offset, and technical service records. If you enable notifications, we also handle a push token and your notification choices.
- Analytics and advertising information: privacy-filtered app interactions and retention events through Firebase Analytics. Google Mobile Ads may process device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, diagnostics, and approximate location inferred from an IP address. Rewarded ads are optional and are not inserted into story reading.
How we use information
We use this information to provide accounts and story progress, synchronize purchases and balances, personalize discovery when enabled, operate optional notifications and rewarded ads, measure app performance and story engagement, prevent fraud, provide support, and meet legal or accounting obligations. We do not sell story choices or reading profiles.
Service providers and sharing
ChoiceBound uses Supabase for authentication and app data, Google Firebase for analytics and optional notifications, Google AdMob for optional rewarded advertising, Google Play for downloads and billing, and Cloudflare for this public website. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose limited information when required by law or to protect users, the service, or our rights.
Retention and deletion
Raw reading and recommendation events are normally retained for up to 90 days, while derived preferences may be retained for up to 13 months or while your active profile needs them. Account and story-progress data is kept while your account is active.
When you delete your account, ChoiceBound removes the associated reader profile, preferences, story progress, recommendation history, device installations, and push tokens. Purchase, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and audit records that must be retained are separated from the reader profile, pseudonymized where practical, and may be kept for up to seven years.

Your controls
Inside ChoiceBound you can edit or reset tastes and recommendations, disable use of reading activity for personalization, control notifications, review ad privacy choices, export profile information, remove reading-profile data, reset local progress, or delete your account. You can also withdraw optional permissions in Android settings.
Age
ChoiceBound is intended for readers aged 16 and over and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Security and international processing
Data sent between the app and its service providers is encrypted in transit. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards and legal mechanisms they make available.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as ChoiceBound or its legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will remain on this page.
